Do you want to get involved in a hands-on way with the Youth Foundation? There are several ways for you or your business to make a difference to Eagle County’s students. We have found that increased community involvement through volunteer participation and mentorship has a direct positive impact on both the children and volunteers who participate. Volunteers make our community a better place to live. The Youth Foundation volunteer opportunities connect individuals and organizations with people and programs that will utilize their specific talents and benefit others. We are proud of the contributions our volunteers are making to enhance the quality of life here in Eagle County.

During the After School Enrichment program parents are encouraged and welcomed to volunteer. In the past, parents have provided cooking classes, piñata making workshops, and coaching and tutoring assistance during after school programs. Additional adult volunteers are recruited and utilized as requested by teachers and in assistance with fundraising activities throughout the year.

Our volunteer coordinator will help you determine how best to get involved. Daily, weekly, or maybe just for occasional experiences.

  • Daily program volunteers participate during the program hours between 2:30 p.m. and 5:30 p.m., Monday-Friday, as homework helpers or activity assistants.
  • Special events volunteers join in at various community and fundraising events evening and weekends.
  • Corporate volunteers are employees participating in their company’s volunteer program. Ongoing, periodic or one-time event opportunities are available.
  • Administrative volunteers assist with office duties at the Youth Foundation office at the WECMRD Field House in Edwards.
  • Fitness & Nutrition volunteers help coaches and share their expertise in a favorite sport. Youth Foundation participants play practically everything at some point during the year.
  • Mentors offer support, friendship, and a constructive example to individual students. A mentor’s guidance and encouragement helps children explore their special talents and navigate their life decisions.
