The Youth Foundation is very successful at leveraging our community's talent and resources. While there are currently nine people on our full-time staff, The Youth Foundation contracts with local teachers and other youth service professionals to deliver a high-quality experience for all. Hiring professional educators helps us deliver a win-win recipe for success, benefitting our children, the teachers, as well as the community at-large. By paying a "livable wage" the Youth Foundation is able to help teachers overcome economic barriers while they utilize their professional skills in our high-cost resort community.
The Youth Foundation staff and board members bring to the table a variety of talents that fuel the growth and longevity of The Youth Foundation. The diversity of our staff and board of directors provides a strong business acumen that assists with networking, fundraising and sustainability. The Youth Foundation's passionate, fun and sincere approach has shown great success, and is clearly an indispensable asset within the social fabric of the community.
All of the The Youth Foundation programs are monitored for successful outcomes and cost-efficiency. This on-going analysis lets us adjust to the changing needs of youth and families. As we learn and refine, we are continually developing new programs to meet new challenges. The Youth Foundation invites involvement from all walks of life in order to foster engaging opportunities that can instill happiness and hope in the many faces of our community. Let us know how you would like to get involved.
We have found that increased community involvement through volunteer participation and mentorship has a direct positive impact on both the children and volunteers who participate. Volunteers make our community a better place to live. The Youth Foundation volunteer opportunities connect individuals and organizations with people and programs that will utilize their specific talents and benefit others. We are proud of the contributions our volunteers are making to enhance the quality of life here in Eagle County.
During the After School Enrichment program parents are encouraged and welcomed to volunteer. In the past, parents have provided cooking classes, piƱata making workshops, and coaching and tutoring assistance during after school programs. Additional adult volunteers are recruited and utilized as requested by teachers and in assistance with fundraising activities throughout the year. Please see Current Volunteer Opportunities for more information.
