Mack Nichols

Mack Nichols joins the Board of the Youth Foundation bringing a great love for this community and a keen understanding of the challenges faced by families in the resort region. As the former board chair of Habitat for Humanity of Eagle and Lake Counties, Mack blends his compassion with his business prowess and works together with families to seek long term solutions and efforts toward economic self sufficiency. Nichols retired in 1998 as president, chief operating officer and director of Mallinckrodt Inc., a diversified chemical and health care company. Mr. Nichols served as a director of Great Lakes Chemical Corporation from 1998 to 2005, and has been a director of the Company since 2005. He is a strong leader with a broad perspective and successful track record of leading diversified businesses through strategic transformation, enhancement and growth.

Despite Mack’s ambitious career, he has also dedicated much of his life to serving the communities in which he lives. Mack has served as chairman of the Metropolitan St. Louis YMCA, as a board member for the St. Louis Art Museum and as a member of the Chancellor’s Council for the University of Missouri- St. Louis. Mack continues to be involved as a board member with Habitat for Humanity and with the Eagle River Presbyterian Church. Mack brings a strong business acumen to the board of directors and will be a tremendous asset to the Youth Foundation as we continue to grow and look for sustainable solutions to enhance the lives of children and families in Eagle County.
