You may recognize Doe from her guest appearance this summer as a Star Dancer for the Youth Foundation’s 1st Star Dancing Gala. Not only can Doe dance, she has tremendous passion for youth issues and is sure to be a wonderful new asset to the Youth Foundation Board of Directors.
A long time philanthropist in the Vail Valley, Doe Browning is involved in a variety of organizations and foundations from serving on the Social Committee of the Vail Valley Foundation to being involved with the Town of Vail Art in Public Places Board. As an artist herself, Doe attended the University of the Arts in Philadelphia and received a dual degree in metals and ceramics. Upon completing her degree she created her own business, Dorothy Browning Ceramics, where she marketed and collected art nationally and internationally.
Doe has been awarded by the state of Kentucky as a Kentucky Colonel. The Honorable Order of Kentucky Colonels is awarded to individuals in recognition of noteworthy accomplishments and outstanding service to a community, state or the nation and is awarded by the governor of Kentucky. Among this prestigious award, Doe has also been involved with a variety of other organizations in her home state of Kentucky, including the Hospice of Hope, Episcopal Day School, Episcopal Church Vestry, Church of the Nativity, and the Maysville Architectural Review Board.
Doe remains involved with the Corcoran Museum of Art in Washington, DC, is founder of the WinMax Foundation, supports the Tom Browning Boys’ and Girls’ Club, sponsors Vail Winterfest, and is on the Board of the Pulley Foundation. Doe brings her southern charm, incredible wit, and her enthusiasm to the board of the Youth Foundation.
